Holiday FUN for the whole family!!

This is one for the kids!! The Maritime Museum will transform into a winter wonderland complete with holiday-themed activities for everyone. Skate around an ice rink, board a pirate ship bounce house, or take photos with Santa!!

4 p.m. to 8 pm., 1492 North Harbor Drive, San Diego.

AND watch the PARADE OF LIGHTS from any of our ships starting at 5:30pm!

This 46th year and true holiday tradition on the the San Diego Bay, the PARADE OF LIGHTS hold 80 boats decked out in festive lights and decorations. This year’s theme is “A Pirate’s Christmas,” so expect some swashbuckling displays on the water!!

Join us at the Maritime Museum of San Diego for a spectacular 4th of July!

Our Independence Day celebration includes some of the best fireworks viewing on San Diego Bay, and the chance to explore one of the most amazing collections of historic ships & exhibits anywhere!

Witness the extraordinary awesomeness of our Napoleonic Cannons being fired as the Maritime Museum of San Diego rings in the start of the fireworks show.

A General Admission ticket to the Maritime Museum lets you explore all of our world class ships, except Berkeley’s upper deck and the Californian. Watch the fireworks from the Star of India, or the HMS Surprise, or the West viewing platform! It’s your choice.

Happy Summer San Diego!

It is a gorgeous day to be in San Diego.  The sun is shining, people are out walking, biking, and running on the Embarcadero, and the museum’s doors are open—so come on in!

Here are a few fun things we have going on this summer:

  •  Saturday, June 30th there are two Kumeyaay Demonstrations at the San Salvador Site—Native Foods and Tule Boat Regatta/Family Day.  Demonstrations are from 11am-12pm and 1pm-3pm.  http://www.sdmaritime.org/san-salvador-build/
  • And of course—we are open all summer for visitors to come see the museum and explore the ships!
