Elegant Weddings on the Star

Post-Bridal Bazaar buzz is that brides want to see more of what their weddings would look like here at the Maritime Museum of San Diego.  Well, the wait is over.  McGuire Photography has taken some of the most captivating photos I have seen of weddings in quite some time.  Some are soft and romantic while others are silly and sweet.  I love the antique filter on a few of them.

This wedding is aboard the world’s oldest active sailing ship, the Star of India, which is one of the venues we offer for wedding ceremonies and receptions.  Her upper deck can seat up to 80 people for ceremonies and seating can be adjusted to accommodate the wishes of the bride and groom.  Whether you want to face the bay at sunset or tie the knot in front of the helm, our team of event planners is here to help create an experience and setting unique to you.

Below the upper deck, the main cabin offers chambers for the bridal party to prepare before the ceremony and also makes for classic photos.  The intimacy and beauty of the captain’s quarters create an ambiance of class and romance.

The masts and sails above create an unforgettable backdrop for the ceremony.  Take a look and let us know if there is something else you would like to see.

Fair Winds,
